Weather to remain unsettled for the rest of the week

Dull, damp and cloudy this morning with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, but Met Éireann say it will brighten up in the west and north this afternoon. Remaining mostly cloudy in the east and southeast, however, with spells of rain or showers. Highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees.

Showers will become isolated tonight and largely confined to western and northwestern coastal counties. Clear spells for a time early on, but becoming mostly cloudy again overnight. A moderate to fresh northerly breeze will persist with lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.

Rather cloudy with scattered showers from early in the morning tomorrow, Thursday. The showers will gradually become more isolated during the afternoon and it will brighten up in most places by evening. Fresh northerly breezes will ease too with highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees.

It's set to remain unsettled, with showers and blustery winds at times, throughout the rest of the week.

Cloud will gradually break up later in the evening as any lingering showers begin to die out. Long clear spells will develop with mostly dry conditions overnight. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees in a moderate northerly breeze.
