Learn more about Mullingar Camera Club at open night

Mullingar Camera Club hold an open night to launch their 2023/24 season on Wednesday September 13 at Áras an Mhuilinn.

The evening will showcase club members’ work, including still life, portraiture and a display of images the club entered into the Irish Photographic Federation interclub competition held recently in Mullingar.

The winner of the Fleadh Photographer Volunteer competition will also be announced on the night.

The event will also provide an opportunity for anyone interested in joining the club to see what they have to offer and what the club are about.

If you are not sure of what camera you might buy, you will be able to meet people who share your passion in photography and give you the benefit of their experience and guide you through that initial purchase.

“The main aim of Mullingar Camera Club is enjoying photography and helping one another improve our photographic skills,” said a club spokesperson.

Whatever your level in photography, there is always something to learn.

“We try to promote creativity through photography, to share and critique the photographs of our members, to educate and improve technical skills, and to spread our passion for photography.”

The open night starts at 7.30pm and runs till 9pm. Light refreshments will be available. Anyone interested in joining Mullingar Camera Club can register on the night. Annual membership fee is €60.
