VIDEO Emmy nominated prosthetic make-up artist honoured by Westmeath County Council

Emmy award nominated prosthetic make-up artist Johnny Murphy from Ballinagore was honoured by Westmeath County Council at a Civic Reception in the County Buildings on Tuesday.

Among those in attendance at the event were Johnny and his wife Melissa Groome Murphy, Johnny's parents Noeleen and Timothy Murphy, his parents-in-law Frank and Catherine Groome, as well Cathaoirleach Cllr Liam McDaniel, a fellow Ballingore man, and chief executive Pat Gallagher.

Speaking to the Westmeath Examiner at the event, Johnny said that he was honoured to be recognised by his local county council.
