A date with the Midlands Uilleann Pipers
The Midlands Uilleann Pipers are holding a piping ceiluradh this Saturday, November 4 (2-6pm) to mark International Uilleann Piping Day.
They are holding a piping session in the upstairs bar of Canton Casey’s pub.
Anyone who is interested in learning, or transferring their musical skills to, this unique Irish instrument can also come along and try the pipes between 3.30 and 4.30, and find out about how to start and where to begin lessons.
Music will be played upstairs for the four hours (2-6pm) and all trad musicians and members of the public are welcome to drop in and join in the celebration of the Irish uilleann piping tradition.
