Memorable year celebrated by Cullion club

Cullion Camogie and Hurling Club marked a memorable and successful 2025 with the hosting of their Club Dinner Dance in The Greville Arms Hotel, Mullingar, on Saturday night, February 14. The well-attended celebration brought together players, mentors, families and supporters to reflect on a year of outstanding achievement and to honour those who brought silverware back to the club.

During the course of the evening, five separate teams were recognised for their championship successes over the past year. Each panel was presented with medals in acknowledgement of their hard work, commitment and dedication throughout their respective campaigns.

Among those honoured were the Cullion Senior Camogie team, who captured the Westmeath Junior A Championship title. The Cullion/Brownstown combination was also celebrated for winning the Minor B Camogie Championship, while the Cullion/Castlepollard side received their medals for securing the Under 16 B Championship crown.

Hurling success was equally acknowledged on the night. The Cullion/Delvin team was honoured for its triumph in the Minor Division 2 Hurling Championship, while the Cullion Under 14 team also received medals in recognition of winning their Championship.

Proceedings were expertly guided by MC for the evening, Cullion hurler Jimmy Kelly, who ensured the formalities ran smoothly and kept the celebratory atmosphere flowing throughout the night. Medals were presented by Cally O’Donovan, who congratulated the players on their achievements and the pride they have brought to the club.

Overall, it was a fantastic occasion for Cullion GAA Club - a fitting tribute to a year of notable success - and a thoroughly enjoyable night was had by all in attendance.
