Westmeath v Longford minor clash put back till Thursday
Westmeath minor football manager Mick Dillon has named the team who were due to play Longford in the Leinster minor championship tonight (Tuesday) in Allen Park, Newtownforbes, at 7.30pm.
The game has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions and will now be played on Thursday night instead.
Two of the heroes from Coláiste Mhuire's Hogan Cup winning team - Conor Cleary and Stephen McWade - are included in Westmeath's starting XV.
Moate All Whites have two representatives listed to start with Billy Stenson named at centrefield and his club colleague Daragh Murray operating at centre forward.
Tubberclair's Gary Staunton has been named to start at wing back, while Cill Óige club player Alex Mullen Adamson will start on the half forward line.
Westmeath have been placed in Group 2 of this year's Leinster minor football championship and following the meeting with Longford, the Lake County will have further outings against Dublin (Tuesday, March 31) and Offaly (Tuesday, April 14).
The provincial knockout phase will start on Tuesday April 21, culminating in the Leinster final on Friday, May 22.
The Westmeath Under 20 footballers start their Leinster championship campaign with a game against Louth in Dovida Lakepoint Park Mullingar tomorrow night (Wednesday), throw-in 7.45pm.
