Update due in September on Delvin Old Bank regeneration project
The Mullingar Kinnegad Municipal District has said an update on the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund (RRDF) project for Delvin village, including the Old Bank building, will be provided at its September meeting.
In response to a question from the mayor, Cllr Niall Gaffney, the council said the appointed land valuer has met with the landowner, carried out a site visit and is currently preparing a valuation report.
The local authority said a broader update on regeneration projects is scheduled to come before councillors at the September district meeting.
N52 works
Cllr Gaffney also called on the Municipal District of Mullingar Kinnegad to examine stretches of the N52 near Deel Bridge and carry out urgent resurfacing and repair works.
In response, the District Office said the section of the national road has already been surveyed and that an application is being submitted to Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) for funding to resurface part of the N52 at the location.
