Leinster Rugby host open training session in Mullingar

Leinster Rugby took a trip down the M4 for an Open Training session today at Mullingar RFC. Before Leo Cullen's side take up residence at their refurbished RDS grounds they availed of the excellent facilities at Shay Murtagh Park at Culleen Beg.

As the Blues continued their preparations for the 2026/27 season fans flocked to Mullingar RFC for the meet-and-greet where they got autographs and selfies with the players.

Leinster Rugby players stayed for nearly an hour after the session to meet and chat with their supporters.

Sam Prendergast, who's father hails in Mullingar told the Examiner: “It was lovely to train here today. This was where my dad grew up. It was particularly lovely to have my granddad come along to the session as well.”
