Mullingar RFC launches €10,000 fundraising drive with Rugby World Cup trip among prizes

Mullingar Rugby Football Club is calling on the local community to get behind its annual Your Club, Your Country fundraising draw, with a target of raising €10,000 to help meet the running costs of the club.

Tickets cost €10, with all money raised through Mullingar RFC's ticket sales going directly towards supporting the club.

The draw, organised nationally by the IRFU in partnership with Energia, will take place on Thursday, December 3, 2026, and offers supporters the opportunity to win a range of major prizes while helping their local rugby club.

Leading the 12-prize line-up is a major rugby supporter’s dream, a trip for two to Australia for the 2027 Rugby World Cup, including return flights, hotel accommodation and tickets to all of Ireland’s pool games. Other prizes include €3,000 in cash, as well as VIP trips for two to the 2027 Six Nations matches between Italy and Ireland and Scotland and Ireland. Both packages include flights, accommodation and match tickets.

There are also opportunities to win a family provincial season ticket, a VIP package for the Galway Races, shopping vouchers and a number of exclusive Irish rugby experiences.

Mullingar RFC hopes to reach its €10,000 target through online ticket sales and paper tickets being distributed through its minis, youth and senior teams.

The club has also thanked Ronan Walsh for once again kindly printing the paper tickets, as well as the volunteers helping to organise and promote the fundraiser.

With registration fees, new equipment and other costs making this an expensive time of year for many families, the club said it is particularly grateful for any support from the local community.

Supporters can help by purchasing a ticket or simply sharing details of the draw with friends, family and colleagues, helping the club reach a wider audience.

The fundraiser provides an opportunity for rugby supporters to potentially win a major prize while contributing directly to the continued operation of Mullingar RFC and its various teams and age groups.

Tickets are available online through the club's fundraising page, while paper tickets are also available through Mullingar RFC players and volunteers.

The club is hoping strong community support will help it reach its €10,000 target ahead of the December draw.
