Nineteen on trolleys in local hospital today

Nineteen patients are reported on trolleys this morning at the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar.

The figures were provided by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).

Sixteen of the patients are on trolleys in the emergency department and three on wards.

Nationally, 575 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch.

397 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 178 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
