Community and Cathaoirleach Awards this Friday evening

Westmeath County Council has confirmed that the Annual Community and Cathaoirleach Awards celebration, now in its 19th year, is at Belvedere House and Gardens on Friday, May 23 (6pm).

Cllr Liam McDaniel is the current cathaoirleach of Westmeath County Council.

The event will include:

• Pride of Place Awards

• Age Friendly Recognition Award

• STEM Awards (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)

• Eco-schools

• Tidy Towns

• Project of the Year

• Residents Association Project

• And the Cathaoirleach Awards for Person/ Group of the year 2025.

The Cathaoirleach Awards will be live streamed again this year, starting at 7pm, so than anyone can tune in and cheer on the nominees and celebrate with them on the night.
