Westmeath GAA coaching and games update

U13 Football Lakeland Óg Academy

Some 120 U13 footballers attended the first morning of the Lakeland Óg Academy in Rosemount.

It was run in two 90-minute slots, and all players were put through their paces in drills and games.

Many thanks to staff and coaches James Gillivan, Damien Donoghue, Seamus Wallace and Shane Farrell for running the session, and to Rosemount for hosting.

The second session for the group is this Saturday, 27 September.

Post Primary Leagues

Last Thursday, the first games played in the Westmeath GAA Post Primary Leagues, included a round of hurling fixtures for first year teams from Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar, St Joseph's, Rochfortbridge and Columba Killucan.

This Thursday there is a round of first year football fixtures at three venues.
