‘Come With Me’ exhibition by Beata Pietrzak 'deeply personal'
The first solo painting exhibition by Polish-born, Mullingar-based artist Beata Pietrzak, ‘Come With Me’, is “deeply personal” and “is an invitation to journey inward – into the painting, into the world, and into oneself”.
The official opening reception is at the Atrium in Mullingar (N91 FH4N) tomorrow Thursday December 11 (5.30pm) and the exhibition is open to the public till January 4 .
Beata graduated from the Fine Arts High School with a specialisation in stained glass and later from the Higher School of Social Communication in Poznań. She has worked in oil painting since 2020, and her works are in private collections across the world, including Poland, Canada, Germany, and the UK.
Her artistic interests go beyond oil painting. Beata is also passionate about street art and has created several murals in Ireland and Poland, three of them in Mullingar (if you pass Martins Lane, you will see them).
She has participated in group exhibitions in Mullingar, Tullamore, and Killaloe.
At the core of her artistic philosophy lies in observation, Beata says. She paints what seems obvious at first glance, yet she offers viewers a completely new perspective – revealing a world hidden beneath the surface.
Her paintings encourage a moment of pause, inviting the viewer to look deeper and discover the energy that connects nature and the human being.
‘Come With Me’ features a collection of 20 oil paintings and dry pastels characterised by vivid colours, dynamic compositions, and a touch of magic. It is the artist’s most extensive exhibition to date.
“My painting is an act of observation. I break down what I see into tiny particles – spot by spot, atom by atom. What if the world as we know it doesn’t really exist? What if our sense of reality is just an illusion?
“Perhaps we are nothing more than energy, a soul that paused here only for a moment. ‘Come With Me’ is a deeply personal exhibition. It speaks about courage, about daring to take a step forward, even when fear is loud. Change is never as frightening as it seems at first. Sometimes you just need to open your eyes.”
“‘Come With Me’ is an invitation to journey inward – into the painting, into the world, and into oneself.”
