Garda Síochána Westmeath look for assistance

Westmeath Gardaí have taken to social media in a bid to reunite some lost items with their owners.

An Garda Síochána Westmeath has posted on Facebook looking for a response. They said: “Bit of a tall order but I have a birthday card for someone who was 21 around the middle of November, her card was from Lily and Eva. Do you know these ladies?

“Or are you one of the ladies that gave the birthday girl her card and contents. Card was found on Austin Friar Street.”

The post continued about another found item: “Also a small black handbag containing just a purse with cash in it, and an Eircode. The Eircode refers to Longford Road, near the Health Centre and Toughers Top Service Station.”

They have asked any member of the public who can assist to contact them, saying: “Do you live near these places and know of a friend who lost their handbag? It was found in Patrick Street, Mullingar. Any help would be brilliant. Usual number 0906421710.”
