Local winners at the Irish Restaurants Awards included the James Joyce Restaurant at the Greville Arms Hotel, Days Bazaar, Bloomfield House Hotel, Weir’s, Scanlons, Tullynally Castle.

Aimee Clarke from the James Joyce Restaurant received the Employee Excellence award, and the prize for Best contemporary Irish cuisine went to Days Bazaar. Bloomfield House Hotel was honoured with the prize for best hotel and best Guesthouse restaurant.

Weir’s Bar and Restaurant won the award for ‘Best Use of Social Media’.

Scanlons took home the gold for best restaurant manager which went to the manager Trevor.

The Tullynally Castle Stables Tea Room bagged the Best Cafe Award.
