Significant number waiting for beds in local hospital today
Eleven people are reported to be on trolleys at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar this morning.
Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) show that nine admitted patients are on trolleys in the hospital's emergency department, and two in wards.
Nationally, 438 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, of which 288 are waiting in the emergency department, while 150 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
