September Pride Festival Mullingar is under way
Mullingar Pride's September Pride Festival Mullingar is well under way as festivities commenced yesterday.
This is the fifth annual festival in the town and it runs up to Sunday September 6.
The vibrant and diverse lineup includes a comedy night, a punk gig, a family event, a drag, burlesque and DJ set in the Final Fence, as well as the Mullingar Pride Parade which begins in the town park at 3pm on Saturday, September 5.
To start off the festival there was a Woman of Pride Comedy Night on Thursday at the Columbia Bar. It was in association with the Mullingage Comedy Festival.
Today (Friday, September 4) there will be a Trans Punk music performance at the Chambers, featuring Uptight Dad and Survival Horror.
Then Saturday, September 5, will be the busiest day of the festival as the Pride parade is set to take place at 3pm at Mullingar Town Park, along with a family event in the same location from 2pm to 5pm.
The big day will end with an event at Final Fence from 7pm hosted by Crème Brulee, where people can enjoy drag and burlesque performances and a DJ set.
Finally, on Sunday, September 6, there will be a barbecue at the Chambers during the afternoon.
