Payzone deal offers national reach for Mullingar Gift Card
A new partnership between Payzone and Miconex is bringing town and city gift cards, including the Mullingar Gift Card, to more than 3,000 Payzone locations in Ireland.
From today, people can buy the Mullingar Gift Card locally at selected Payzone payment terminals in convenience stores, newsagents and supermarkets, including prominent retail chains.
You can purchase the Mullingar Gift Card directly from the Mullingar Chamber office, online at mullingargiftcard.ie, or at local Payzone outlets. For added convenience, ‘Grab and Load’ cards are available to pick up at the Chamber office and the North Midlands Credit Union (Mullingar branch).
Supported by Mullingar Chamber and Westmeath County Council, the card can be redeemed at more than 100 local businesses, making it the ideal local choice for gifts, rewards, and employee incentives.
Visit mullingargiftcard.ie for a directory of participating businesses.
Once a card, has been purchased at a Payzone location, recipients add their digital town and city gift card to their digital wallet using the Miconex Love Local app.

Delivered by fintech Miconex, town and city gift cards are Mastercard backed and can be spent with registered shops, restaurants, salons, healthcare, attractions and hotels.
Some €17.4m of town and city gift cards were sold in Ireland in 2025.
The Payzone and Miconex partnership is estimated to drive an additional €1m of spend in Irish communities in the first year.
Suzanne McEvoy, president of Mullingar Chamber, said: “This partnership with Payzone is a game-changer for Mullingar. By making the Mullingar Gift Card accessible at thousands of retail points nationwide, we are making it easier than ever for people, both locally and across Ireland, to choose local first.
“Every card bought directly protects local jobs and keeps money circulating here in our community. Whether you’re a Chamber member or run a local business who hasn’t joined us yet, now is the perfect time to sign up and benefit from this massive boost in reach.”
Olivia Noonan, head of financial services, Payzone Ireland, added: “At Payzone, we’re committed to supporting communities across the country and the independent businesses that are at the heart of them. Making town and city gift cards available through our retail network gives consumers another easy, convenient way to ‘support local’.
“With more than 3,000 retail partners across Ireland, we’re proud to help make these gift cards more accessible and, in doing so, contribute to keeping more spending within local economies.”
Colin Munro, CEO of Miconex, said: “Shop local sentiment in Ireland is extremely strong. People actively want to support the local businesses in the towns and cities where they live and work, and town and city gift cards make it easy and enjoyable to do just that.
“What makes town and city gift cards like the Mullingar Gift Card unique is the unbeatable local choice, big brands and independent businesses in one card, paired with the unrivalled support for local. Our partnership with Payzone is putting the Mullingar Gift Card where people want to buy them, while they’re buying petrol or picking up essentials, enhancing the ease and accessibility of supporting local.”
