Crookedwood reach Leinster Junior A decider

Crookedwood 1-9, Johnstownbridge 0-8

Super sub Roisín Killian was the match winner for a courageous Crookedwood side, who overcame the stern challenge of Johnstownbridge in the Leinster Junior A Camogie semi-final, in lovely autumn sunshine at Johnstownbridge GAA grounds on Sunday.

With the sides deadlocked in the second half and Johnstownbridge building momentum, Crookedwood swooped for a crucial goal as Killian reacted well to flick the sliotar to the net in the 50th minute.

The lively inside forward then added a point for good measure, and those were the crucial scores as Crookedwood advanced to a Leinster final meeting with Clough-Ballacolla of Laois next Sunday in Castletown Geoghegan (2.30pm).

Scorers: Crookedwood: A Boyhan 0-6 (4f), R Killian 1-1, J McLoughlin and M Scally 0-1 each.
