Calm Halloween night, Mullingar gardaí report

While many communities across Ireland experienced nights of anti-social behaviour, gardaí in Mullingar said this year’s Halloween celebrations went off peacefully.

There were only two arrested for public order in the area over Halloween night. Sergeant Martin Long of An Garda Síochána Mullingar, said: “Obviously, we received a number of calls in relation to fireworks, but we had lots of ongoing patrols and different units working throughout the estates in the town as part of our policing plan.”
