Finea food manufacturer up for top european award

Mr Crumb, the Westmeath food manufacturer, has been selected as the national champion to represent Ireland in the European Business Awards.

Mr Crumb competed with the best businesses in the nation to win the accolade of representing the country in The Business of the Year Award (for medium sized enterprises) sponsored by RSM (Audit Tax Advisory).

As national champion, Mr Crumb will go on to compete in the next phase of the competition resulting in successful organisations being short-listed as one of 10 Ruban d’Honneur recipients in The European Business of the Year Award.

Mr Crumb is a multi award winning food manufacturer, based in the village of Finea.

The company employees 75 people (which goes up to 100 people during the last quarter of the year).

Mr Crumb makes fresh stuffing and breadcrumbs under the Mr Crumb brand in Ireland and also exports flavoured butters and snack foods to European retailers.

Mr Crumb products will be eaten at 1 out of every 2 Christmas dinners in Ireland.
The company was previously voted Best Irish Business three times and has won Irish Product of the Year Award at the UK Great Taste Awards for its Stuffing.
