Camera Club launches exhibit
Mullingar Camera Club launched its annual exhibition last week and the display, featuring photographs of club members and will run until June 10.The exhibition was launched by Royal Photographic Society organiser Des Clinton (FIPF, FRPS, FIAP ) who is widely known and respected for his photography work. Des, who was invited to speak by the club, judges photography work at competition across Ireland and the UK.Club chairman Gary Hill said that he was delighted to be at another exhibition opening and pointed out that everyone from the beginner to the most experienced member was given the chance to display a photo. Gary has been a member of the club for a quarter of a decade and the club itself has been going for more than 30 years and welcomes new members each September.Image topics in the exhibition vary from nature and portraiture to documentary style images and around 60 photos are featured from the club's 30 members.
