Bloomfield House Hotel win national award

The team at Bloomfield House Hotel are celebrating after winning Gold at the recent annual Irish Accommodation Services Institute awards.

The hotel received this honour for housekeeping excellence in the nationwide four-star category at the national finals.

Liz Burke, accommodation manager at Bloomfield House Hotel, and her team received the award, which puts the hotel at the top of its class in Ireland.

“We are proud to receive the Gold Award, it is a fantastic achievement and it is due to the dedication, commitment and hard work of the Accommodation Team at Bloomfield House Hotel,” she said.

The awards recognise those who are driving high standards within the accommodation industry and the judging criteria focused on the cleanliness and tidiness of the applicant hotel.

Liz Connaughton, director at Bloomfield House Hotel, added: “This award is a testament to the hard work, attention to detail and dedication of the outstanding housekeeping team headed up by Liz Burke who provide a top class service to all our guests.”

The IASI is a national body that represents the professional interests of the accommodation sector and its remit is to promote best practice standards within the accommodation field.

IASI council members subject all entries to a rigorous on-site inspection focusing primarily on the cleanliness and tidiness of the applicant buildings.

The IASI sends accommodation providers a list of standards which should be met in order to be eligible for an award.

Every property is required to get 80% in their inspection to pass. After that, 80% to 87% is a Merit Award, 87% to 93% is a Silver Award and 93% to 100% is a Gold Award, which was achieved by Bloomfield House Hotel.
