The late Anita Looram
The late Anita Looram, of Killinlahan, Ballinagore, who died on Sunday February 7, had lived a long and varied life, having reached her 94th year at the time of her death.Miss Looram, who returned to her native Ballinagore after her retirement, had spent a long number of years working as a nurse in the British Army's Queen Alexandra Royal Nursing Corp.For a few years prior to her death, Miss Looram lived at a nursing home in Mullingar, and her death, at the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar, was peaceful.Locally, she is survived by her first cousin, Hugh Looram, also of Ballinagore, and she is also survived by a sister, Kathleen Duffy, of Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan, as well as by her nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, relatives and friends.The removal took place from the Midland Regional Hospital to St. Micahel's Church, Castletown Geoghegan, where funeral Mass was celebrated by Fr. Seamus Giles P.P. The remains were interred in the adjoining cemetery.
