One Direction fan Sorcha Guilfoyle Donaghy is petitioning to have her favourite band come to Mullingar! The 13-year-old Mercy Secondary School student has joined a committee of three other girls, based in Dublin, Cork and Belfast, to bring the five boys to Ireland, so they can meet them in person."Our project is called ProjectMeet1D and we are hoping to get One Direction to come to Mullingar so that we can meet them, and tell them how much we love them, and how great their music is," Sorcha told the Westmeath Examiner this week.Although Sorcha has not met the other girls on the committee, she keeps in contact with Sally, Ciara, and Caoimhe online, and together they are trying to spread the word through Facebook, Twitter and their website <a href="http://onedirectionirishsignings.webs.com/"target="_blank">1D Signings</a>."I've been to two of their concerts. I was at the first X Factor tour, and their headline tour in the O2. I also saw Niall through a gap in a fence at Festival of the Fires on the Hill of Uisneach, but I never actually got to meet him in person," Sorcha continues."Ireland has only ever had one signing, which was almost a year ago, so I think we deserve more. Niall doesn't get home all that often, and only Harry was in Mullingar before, so we would like to see all of One Direction come and visit."We are emailing their management, writing letters, and bringing posters to the concerts saying, We want 1D signings."Fans wishing to join ProjectMeet1D can get behind the petition by following them on Twitter @1DIrishSignings, or check out <a href="http://onedirectionirishsignings.webs.com/"target="_blank">1D Signings</a>.
