Bookmaker offers to stage Horan Phillips fight

Niall Horan's Twitter spat with Welsh rubgy player Mike Phillips has taken an unexpected turn with Paddy Power offering to organise a charity boxing match.

Always eager for publicity, the bookmaker has said that it will pay €50,000 to the charity of the winner's choice and €10,000 to the loser's. The firm also offered Irish international Rob Kearney, who told Niall that he 'had his back' after his and Philips' Twitter row started, that it would also give him €10,000 for his charity if he refs the bout.

So far none of the trio have responded to Paddy Power's offer, but you'd have to think that Niall would need to get some serious back up from his 1D bandmates if he was to have a chance against the 6ft 3''/ 16 and half stone scrum half.

The pair clashed on Twitter after Niall criticised Phillips' behaviour in the Ireland Wales game on Saturday afternoon saying that: "His attitude is terrible, looks like a right arrogant idiot."

Philips responded by inviting Niall down to a Welsh training session. He also advised him to "bring the rest The Beatles".
