There was a familiar face to be seen at the SEAT dealer Colton Motors in Mullingar on Saturday last - that of Love Hate star Laurence Kinlan, a young actor who has also had significant roles in the films “The Guard” (2011) and “Ned Kelly” (2003).
Laurence was in town to host a SEAT acting workshop, and imparting some of his wisdom to Mullingar’s aspiring actors.
The SEAT Ireland brand ambassador played host to several actors from Westmeath at Colton Motors SEAT dealership at Lough Sheever Corporate Business Park, passing on to the workshop participants several tricks of the trade and describing his own rise to stardom.
The workshop at Colton Motors is one of many that Laurence will host as part of his role as a SEAT brand ambassador.
Speaking at the event, Laurence Kinlan said; “I am thrilled at how the day went and I’m glad people enjoyed it.  To make it as an actor is not easy, it requires hard work and persistence and that level of hunger was certainly visible amongst the participants.”
Keith Colton, dealer principal at Colton Motors said, “We were delighted with the level of interest in the workshop and the number of people that were in attendance is testament to that. There is some fantastic acting talent in Westmeath and from observing the participants, I think they really took something away from it. Here at Colton Motors, we were thrilled to be given the opportunity by SEAT to host this workshop for the talented actors of Mullingar.
2013 was a very busy year for Laurence Kinlan with and 2014 has been just as busy with SEAT acting workshops taking place at dealerships throughout January, February and now March. Having finished filming the fourth series of Love/Hate last Autumn, Laurence was announced as a SEAT brand ambassador receiving the keys to his all new SEAT Leon FR in October. Laurence and the rest of the Love/Hate cast have received their scripts ahead of the widely anticipated fifth season of the hit series which airs this Autumn. Details of SEAT Ireland acting workshops with Laurence Kinlan are available on the SEAT Ireland Facebook page www.Facebook.com/SEATireland.
