Bat walk at belvedere house

Are bats blind?
How do they fly at night?

Find out at Belvedere House, Gardens and Park during the Bat Walk on Saturday May 9 at 8pm.

Belvedere’s bat walks are in association with Bat Conservation Ireland.

This walks begin with an illustrated talk on bats by Dr Tina Aughney, dispelling all of the myths and detailing just how marvellous these tiny mammals really are.

That’s followed by a guided bat walk with use of bat boxes (which allow you to hear the bats, hunt and communicate with each other) around the Belvedere parkland.

The walk is weather permitting (bats are far too sensible to be out in the wet or cold!).

Wear warm clothing sensible footwear and bring a small torch.

Entry is free, donations if desired to Bat conservation Ireland.
