Drop in and support the cycle for Crumlin hospital at SuperValu, Mullingar

Buckley's SuperValu supervisors, Stephen O'Neill, James O'Brien and Mary Quinn, have organised a 24-hour sponsored cycle to raise funds for Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin today and tomorrow.

Stephen explained that there is a tradition at the Mullingar supermarket of holding an event in support of the hospital, and this year they wanted to do something they hadn't done before, and so settled on a 24-hour cycle.

As the shop closes at 10pm, the cycle is divided into two 12-hour sections.

Forty staff members are taking part in half-hour and hour-long slots between 9am and 9pm today, and they are starting again tomorrow at 9am for another 12 hours.
