Newbrook Group to invest €3.3 million in Mullingar nursing home creating 40 new jobs

The group’s chief executive, Phil Darcy, said: “The Newbrook Group has plans to invest €3.3 million in developing a 36-bedded extension to Newbrook Nursing Home, Ballymahon Road, Mullingar.

"This state of the art development will create an additional 40 jobs in Mullingar, adding to the 230 people employed already by the group in Westmeath.

"Mullingar is where the group started with Newbrook Nursing Home in 1999 and it grew from there. We are proud to be able to go back to Mullingar with an investment of this size.”

Multyfarnham based Newbrook Group was founded in 1999 by John Noel and Sarah Ann McGivney and today it is one of the largest providers of residential care services in Ireland, with six nursing homes totalling 350 beds across the midlands, west and north east of Ireland.

The group is also a major employer, with more than 500 employees.
