Pat Burke and Trevor McDonnell

Records may be broken in 24-hour darts marathon

Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin will be the beneficiary of a highly anticipated darts fundraiser at the Greville Arms Hotel, starting on the morning of Saturday next, March 22.

Three very capable darts players – two of them from Mullingar – will take to the oche for a gruelling 24-hour darts marathon, all in aid of one of the country’s most beloved causes.

Mullingar darts aficionados Trevor McDonnell and Pat Burke will be joined by Dublin native and top Irish darts player Shane O’Connor for the throw-fest, which kicks off at 9am on Saturday.

Breaking world records in darts proficiency and speed will be the name of the game, with the three marksmen revolving until 9am on Sunday morning, March 23 in an attempt to break one-minute and two-minute inner and outer bullseye throwing and scoring records currently found in the Guinness Book of Records.

The event is sponsored by www.501darts.ie, and all funds raised from it will go towards the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation at Our Lady’s Hospital, Crumlin.

This cause is close to the hearts of both Trevor and Pat, and they would appreciate your support for this day of intensive darts.
