James P Sullivan scored a nice win on Nickscreamcracker in Beverley this afternoon

Its that man jimmy again

“Good man, Jimmy” was probably the shout in the winner’s enclosure in Beverley today as Streete native, James P Sullivan came home on the Ruth Carr trained, Nickscreamcracker in the opener. The 6/1 shot had a length and a half to spare at the finish.

And he almost made in a double on Cosmic Chatter in the 3.55, again for the Carr stable. And what a great double that would have been as he was returned at 9/1! Unfortunately, the line came too soon and he was a length off the winner.

It has been a productive start to the week for James P as he enjoyed a good day in Ayr on Monday afternoon where he guided Haidees Reflection to victory for Jim Goldie after just missing out on Exotic Guest and Tanawar by a neck and one and three quarter lengths respectively.

Sullivan has a good book of rides for the remainder of the week and will be well supported when Miningrocks faces the starter in Musselburgh on Friday night. Just last Friday in Thirsk, he guided the horse to success at the handsome odds of 15/2. Unfortunately, my crystal ball was in for a service that day!
