However it all started so brightly for Kinnegad, taking the lead after some great build up play down the right from Ethan Togher and Cian Flood, who released David Etcheri. With just the 'keeper to beat, he calmly lifted the ball over his head and slotted the ball home. The lead didn't last too long as Temple Villa immediately equalised and just before the break they went ahead. After the interval Kinnegad tried to push on and Kevin McKeon had two free kicks well saved, but it was the home side that broke and scored another and three more were to follow before the end.Sean Moran did his best to make the score respectable near the end and set up a few attacks, however it wasn't to be and this Temple Villa side should win the league now. Kinnegad live to fight another day with the Under 12 cup quarter final next weekend.Team: Thomas Barriack, Adam Woods, Ian Daly, Seymon Fabinski, Cian Flood, Ethan Togher , Ross Malone, Kevin McKeon, Ciaran Bracken, David Etcheri, Shane McDonagh Subs; Sean Moran, Cian Maloney, Jordi O'Connor,NDSL 14BPriorswood 2Kinnegad Juniors AFC 1Kinnegad remain on course to win the NDSL Under 14 league despite their unfortunate defeat last Sunday. Trailing 2-1 with 10 minutes to go they laid seige on the Priorswood penalty area and had a goal disallowed for offside, another effort saved by the goalkeeper and a third which just escaped the crossbar. Those near misses simply added to the disappointment of defeat.Earlier it seemed like a victory would be Kinnegad's after Jamie Flood continued his fine recent form with a great finish, Ryan Caffrey being the creator. At the back, 'keeper, Evan Dowling had a superb game, backed up by Danny Woods and Jordan McAteer in his defence. Yet Flood was the star performer, aided by Dean Baker in attack.A superb equaliser by Priorswood levelled matters at the break - and five minutes into the second half, the home side took the lead after Dowling made an initially brilliant block. From here on in, it was Kinnegad's game. They dictated the tempo, Woods dancing through the home defence to set up Flood, whose shot found the net but whose position was marginally offside.Still, with five games left, five victories will guarantee Kinnegad their first league title at this age level.FixturesSunday, April 25Under 12 Local CupQuater-Final(Straight Knockout)Conn Celtic/Hod Bay Hoops v.
