Barry Kelly to take charge of Leinster Final

Leinster Council has confirmed that Westmeath’s best known referee is to take charge of next Sunday’s Leinster Senior Hurling Championship final in Croke Park. Reigning champions, Dublin will be hoping to retain the title they won for the first time in many years, when they overcame Galway

On Sunday they will take on Brian Cody’s Kilkenny who will be hoping to return to the summit after surrending their provincial crown last year. The game throws in at 4pm and will be screened on The Sunday Game.

The popular Mullingar based schoolteacher, who has three All-Ireland finals under this belt, has been enjoying television prominence of late as he featured in Setanta’s ‘Men in Black' along with the now retired rugby referee, Alain Rolland and Meath knight of the whistle, David Coldrick.
