Mullingar near top of Trolley Watch figures today

There are 15 people on trolleys in the Emergency Department at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar this morning.

The figure, complied by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, for its ‘Trolley Watch’ survey, is one of the highest in the country today.

Other figures include 11 at Cork University Hospital, and 19 and University Hospital Limerick, where there are three other patients on trolleys on other wards.

In the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore, there are two patients on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

The national total of patients on trolleys today is 94, according to Trolley Watch.
