Temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius are forecast for Mullingar today.

That's hot and it's to get a bit hotter still: 27C on Tuesday and 26C on Wednesday; before it starts to cool a little on Friday, back to 25C.

The forecast is for a cooler day on Saturday, 19C and cloudy skies.

Very warm today with widespread sunshine and just scattered patches of cloud. There is a slight chance of an isolated shower developing in the midlands this evening. Highest temperatures of 24 to 28 degrees, possibly touching 29 degrees in the midlands. It will be slightly less warm along coasts in a light easterly breeze.
