Clonmellon enters Pride Of Place 2022

Clonmellon Village has officially been entered into the 2022 Pride of place competition.

A dedicated group of local residents (pictured below) have come together with the help and guidance of Ann-Marie Nash and Annette Barr Jordan from Westmeath County Council to form a plan to assist the group and point them in the right direction to give their village a good chance at winning this year’s Pride of Place competition.

The group have a diverse mix of young and not-so-young residents who volunteer their time to get involved and have a shot at putting Clonmellon firmly on the map.

Despite having a group of volunteers, they say they need more help.

If you would like to get involved, contact any member of the group above or send an email to info@clonmelloncommunityradio.com.

The next meeting is in the community centre on Thursday August 4.

“Pride of place is all about being proud of the place you call home and to all of us, it is Clonmellon.

"The village is steeped in history and has earned the right to have a go at Pride of Place competition,” said a spokesperson for the group.
