Land at Clonyn for auction

What the auctioneers describe as an attractive parcel of north Westmeath farmland is coming to the market and will be sold at auction on Wednesday May 31.

The land at Clonyn, Delvin is approximately 1.8km off the N52 Delvin, Mullingar road, about four kilometres from both Drumcree and Delvin.

The land extends to 16.77 acres (6.79 hectares), principally laid out in two divisions intersected by a stream, and benefits from minor road frontage and “therefore in our opinion suited to the erection of a residence subject to planning permission from Westmeath County Council”, said Thomas Potterton of Rea TE Potterton.

“The lands are presently all in old pasture and are of good fattening quality and benefit from dual road frontage. The lands also contain a cattle pen,” said Mr Potteron.

The auctioneers point out that Delvin caters for day to day shopping requirements and there is also a good choice of educational and recreational facilities in the immediate vicinity. The locality is well supported by an established farming infrastructure as abattoirs, contractors, merchants and Delvin Livestock Market and other service industries are close at hand.

The auction is on Wednesday May 31 at 3pm at The property Exchange, Trim and online via LSL (lslauctions.com/LotDetail-REATE-2955031); interested bidders have to register by May 29.

Directions: from Delvin take the N52 towards Mullingar for approximately 3km. Turn right (see agent’s directional sign) to the L1516 and continue for 1.8km, and the land is on the right hand side identified by the agent’s for sale board.
