Two world titles for young Mullingar girl

In a significant achievement, 12-year-old Kayden Dalton from Mullingar has become a World Champion for the second time this year.

In the space of six weeks, Kayden firstly secured Gold in Muay Thai at the WBC Amazing Muay Thai Festival which was held in Venice Italy in June of this year. Kayden secured her second Gold medal for MMA in the IMMAF World Championships in Abu Dhabi UAE on August 2.

Daughter of proud parents Michelle and Keith Dalton, Kayden and her brother Davin are members of Relentless Martial Arts where she is trained by Alan and Danni McCormack. Over the past few months Kayden has worked extra hard with her coaches and team mates. She has trained five days a week for two hours a day in the gym and also done two strength and conditioning sessions per week, while running 2/3 days each week.

Kayden also kept up her work in Relentless as Assistant Coach to the younger children, where she takes great pride in helping them prepare for future competitions.

Relentless Martial Arts took six competitors to Venice Italy ranging from ages 10-17 and five competitors to Abu Dhabi ranging from 12-17 years old. Overall, the gym took home 10 medals with Kayden taking home gold in both World Championships.

Kayden’s love of the sport, her skill and determination, her concentration and her will to persevere has helped her secure her double golds. She has done everyone proud and is very proud of her achievement. Fundraising was done by parents and club members.

Kayden’s parents would like to take this opportunity to thank all Business Owners who dug deep to support their daughter and club on their World Championship trips to Italy and Dubai. A massive congratulations to this young girl on such a fantastic achievement at such a young age.
