Leinster boxing champions Max McCormack and Sean Óg Browne from the Ballynacargy club will compete for All-Ireland titles at the National Boxing Stadium in the week ahead.

Two Leinster titles for Bal' Boxing Club

Ballynacargy Boxing Club has secured two Leinster titles over last weekend in what has been an impressive run of results.

Sean Óg Browne and Max McCormack both won provincial titles for the club and are now preparing for the All-Irelands in the National Boxing Stadium, Dublin which begin on Easter Bank Holiday Monday.

The club entered three boxers and came away with two Leinster titles.

Sean Óg had two good wins against two good competitors from Offaly and Dundalk. He boxed extremely well over the weekend to win his second Leinster title.

Meanwhile, the same can be said for Max McCormack, who enjoyed two very good wins against Louth and Offaly opponents. They now progress to the All-Ireland series.

Elsewhere, Declan McGerr lost out in his semi-final against Wexford.

Ballynacargy Boxing Club coach Camillus Kelly praised everyone connected with the great results and wished the young competitors every success in the week ahead.

"It's a great achievement for these young boxers and we are very proud to have them representing us at the All-Ireland competitions. They are really looking forward to it. To have won two Leinster titles from the three boxers who entered is just fantastic and it's reward for their great commitment and dedication," he said.
