Midlands 103 host making dough for charity
Veteran radio host Roy Jennings is swapping his headphones for a hairnet. Jennings is the first of the Midlands 103 presenters to be auctioned off in the station’s Hire a Presenter fundraising drive.
His services have been acquired by Apache Pizza in Mullingar for the grand sum of €350 and he will be there making pizzas today (Thursday June 6).
Apache have agreed to donate an extra €1 for every pizza made by their newest employee.
All proceeds will go to Living Links Midlands, as chosen by Roy. The charity provides outreach support to those bereaved by suicide.
Live updates of Jennings’s progress will be broadcast throughout the day on Midlands 103.
Will Faulkner is the next member of the Midlands 103 radio team that will be sold off to the highest bidding business. The host of the popular The Midlands Today Show will be donating the funds he raises to Irish Autism Action, based in Mullingar.

The event organiser Sinéad Hubble believes companies that participate will enjoy a return on their investment in terms of positive publicity and goodwill: “This is a unique opportunity for businesses in the midlands to get an extra pair of hands, raise their profile and help a worthy cause.”
Breakfast host Ann Marie Kelly will be available to hire from Monday June 17. The former Today FM presenter will be raising money for the Jack and Jill Foundation.
