Addressing the gathering at Loreto College Mullingar on Friday week last, October 13, principal Olivia O’Callaghan said: “Awards night is always a very special evening in our calendar; we are exceptionally proud of all our students, and it is fantastic to acknowledge their hard work and achievements.
“This year we were delighted to invite author and past pupil, Patricia Gibney, as our special guest. Patricia’s wise words reminded all present to always follow their dreams and spoke of the resilience that we all need at times during our life.
“Current students were awarded for academic excellence in their end of year exams, and the class of 2023 were awarded in numerous areas such as sport, music, science, values of Mary Ward and exceptional examination results.
“We congratulate all our recipients and remind them to continue to reach for the stars.”
