Sonna hairdresser is ahead of the rest in major competition

Local hairdresser Ann-Marie Browne from Sonna will be mixing with the stars at London Fashion Week after beating off stiff competition at Dublin’s Wella Studios to become the first Irish hairdresser to be selected for the Sebastian Cult Team.On Monday, August 16 last, Ann-Marie who works with Patrick Havelin Hairdressing on Pearse Street, beat off stiff competition by creating a “Sebastian” inspired look from head to toe on her model and local girl Shauna Murphy from Tower View.Now a member of the Sebastian Cult Team, which is described as a movement of fearless hairdressing rebels, set to revolutionise and redefine the face of modern hairdressing, Ann-Marie will start her year long campaign by flying to London for intensive boot camp training under the guidance of the Sebastian Global Core Design Specialist, Mr. Shay Dempsey, before doing her first assignment a fashion photo shoot for the latest collections from Henry Holland of House of Holland, and then back stage at London Fashion Week working on top models from around the world.Speaking to the Westmeath Examiner this week, Ann-Marie said she was feeling excited about her new appointment: “It’s like a dream come true for me, I’ve always been into “mad” fearless hair fashion so it will be the challenge of it all that I’ll love really,” said Ann-Marie who took up hairdressing six years ago.
