Macbeth brings tragedy to Mullingar

The paraphrasing of one of Shakespeare's best-known quotations announces the imminent arrival of the widely-acclaimed Icarus Theatre Collective, who are scheduled to present a bold and exciting performance of Shakespeare's most bloody and fear-filled tragedy, Macbeth, at the Mullingar Arts Centre this Thursday March 8.

Icarus have received critical accolades including the Time Out Critics' Choice, and awards from countries such as Romania. This new production goes straight for the jugular. Blending traditional and inventive physical theatre techniques, original live music, evocative design, and using the original verse, it is perfect for audiences new to Macbeth or those already well-acquainted with Shakespeare's tragedies.

Whether you are a student aiming to become more deeply steeped in the atmosphere of this powerful play; someone with a life-long love of the works of Shakespeare; or simply looking for a night of top-class entertainment, Macbeth will fill the bill.

Macbeth will be presented at the Mullingar Arts Centre by Icarus Theatre Collective on Thursday 8 March, 12.30pm (€12) and 8pm (€15 and €12). Tickets from the box office 044 9347777.
