Julie Feeney chooses Mullingar man Tommy Moore's song to take her to next round of The Hit

Tommy Moore has written a melody - and he needs as many people as possible to buy it this week, to give him the edge in RTE’s new music show, The Hit.
Tommy, from Millmount Road, is a professional musician and songwriter, and on Friday, he was one of six songwriters who pitched their songs at competing artists Julie Feeney, and The Stunning, who had to choose one song each.
Julie Feeney chose Tommy’s 'New Tattoo’, and she has until this Thursday to try and get the song up the Irish charts, and ahead of The Stunning with their chosen song.
The winning song will go through with four others, to be chosen over the next five weeks, to a grand finale.
And this is where Tommy needs the help of his native town: the song is out on iTunes, and he needs us to download it, to help push Julie ahead of The Stunning.
To support Tommy’s song you can download it by texting SONG 2 to 57082, and you will receive a download link to iTunes.
You can also rewatch the performance by the amazing Julie Feeney on The Hit through RTE Player.
Tommy Moore will be performing in the midlands area in the coming weeks, so go to Tommy Mooremusic.com or Like his page on Facebook for further information and link to his Debut EP for free.
The all-star line-up of artists for The Hit includes the likes of Brian Kennedy, Duke Special, Republic of Loose, Samantha Mumba, Mundy, The Stunning and Julie Feeney.
For the grand finale of the series the five successful artists will return to perform their song live in the O2 with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.
Tommy, who is a graduate of the Newpark Jazz College in Dublin, is a talented musician, well known not just here in Mullingar, but also in Dublin, where he is forging a successful full-time career in music.
Julie Feeney is, a composer singer, as well as being a record producer.
