Work set to start next week on Ballynacargy Health Centre upgrade

Work is set to begin on an upgrade to Ballynacargy Health Centre next Monday, October 17.

The centre will be closed for seven weeks to allow the work to proceed. The HSE has advised people to attend Dr Berch Zaduryan at Town Medical Clinic, Mullingar Health Care Complex, Austin Friar Street.

The news that Ballynacargy Health Centre is being upgraded has been welcomed by local TD Robert Troy.

“I very much welcome confirmation from the HSE that the works are set to commence.

“I know that I had engaged with our new GP and the HSE around the possibility of having the centre upgraded.

“A new GP came to Ballynacargy earlier this year following the retirement of Dr Paddy O’Kelly at the end of 2021.

“It was obvious that while a good service was being provided the building was old and dated and needed to be upgraded.”

Patients that normally attend Ballynacargy Health Centre are asked to contact Town Medical Clinic on 0449381075 to arrange an appointment if they need a GP.

The work is set to be completed on December 12.
