Skincare and makeup masterclass to raise funds for Raharney National School

Women in Raharney and the surrounding area are being invited to an evening of skincare and makeup tips while raising funds for Raharney National School.

A Skincare & Makeup Masterclass, hosted by Catherine McKeown and local skin specialist Grainne Callaghan, will take place at The Third Place in Raharney on Sunday, September 27 at 6.30pm.

The event is aimed particularly at women aged 30 and over, and organisers say it will be suitable for everyone from mums and grannies to anyone who would like to learn more about caring for their skin and applying makeup.

Catherine McKeown is an experienced makeup artist specialising in bridal, mother-of-the-bride and occasion makeup. She has trained extensively in different makeup techniques and with a wide range of professional makeup brands.

Grainne, meanwhile, is a skin specialist and founder of River Skincare. She is CIDESCO qualified and holds a Level 9 qualification in Skin and Hair Follicle Science from the Charles Institute of Dermatology at UCD School of Medicine. She has also trained with 43 different skincare brands.

The pair are bringing their combined experience and knowledge to the masterclass, with tickets priced at just €25.

Importantly, all proceeds from the event will go directly to Raharney National School, with the organisers volunteering their time. They hope the evening will provide an opportunity for local women to enjoy a night out, pick up some practical skincare and makeup advice and, at the same time, support their local school.
